Not just the fishing on the Columbia River

A beautiful Columbia River Spring Chinook caught with guide Lance Fisher below Bonneville Dam

Mike and Kara have fished with me for a number of years now. In browsing through photos from one of last year’s trips on the Columbia River, I’m reminded that there is a lot that goes along with us catching fish. For one, relationships are a big part of what we do. Hanging out, catching fish and enjoying each others company- Now that’s a great day! Also, as good as the surroundings are, I find myself not even being able to take the time to look around. When I do look up, it’s like seeing awesomeness for the first time. Amazing! This photo radiates all of it. Relationship, the beauty around us and a Columbia River Spring Chinook headed for the barbecue.
