Lance Fisher- Fishing Guide

Fishing guide Lance Fisher holding a Columbia River Salmon

I am a native Oregonian and have fished since I was able to hold a rod. I began life as a guide in 2001 and have since hosted thousands of clients, both private and corporate.

Over the years I have written and photographed for numerous regional and national publications, providing fellow anglers tips and tactics for cold water fishing. This knowledge and love for the sport has also translated into numerous seminars for fishermen over the years. From the largest Sportsman Shows, to local fishing club chapter meetings, fishing is something that is better when it’s shared.

In addition to guiding and writing, I spent 11 years hosting the NW Outdoor Show, which was a syndicated radio show where I hosted regional fishing authorities and national personalities. From Governors, to Rock Stars, Pro Baseball and Football Players, to the very best fishermen in the NW providing listeners with how to’s and up to date reports.

The Boat

Many potential clients want to know what sort of boat they’re going to be spending their day on. Along with the personality of the guide, the equipment is a big deal. The current boat is a 2014 25′ Willie Raptor and may be the finest guide boat in the Pacific Northwest. For more on this boat check out a more detailed description of it here.

The Equipment

Although classified as a charter business, that’s where the similarities end. Along with a top of the line boat and electronics, the rods, reels and safety equipment can really make or break your experience.

As a G. Loomis and Shimano Pro Staffer, I can safely say that the rods and reels used will be the best there are. All rods and reels are species and technique specific. I don’t own any “jack of all trades” outfits as I don’t believe you can do anything well with this sort of approach. Everything is dialed in so that my customers are served well no matter what the skill level.
