Jalapeño Lime Smoked Salmon Spread/Dip/Filling

For the holidays, I wanted to pass on some of the salmon go-to’s that we share with family and friends. I shared the Sugar Free Smoked Salmon Recipe with you before. It’s very popular amongst my customers and also one of the top recipes of its kind on the internet. Who knew?!?! I’ll eat a bit of smoked salmon by itself, but I’ll be honest, I much prefer cooking with this recipe. 

One of my family’s favorite things to do with it is to make smoked salmon cream cheese spread, but this is not just a typical spread. Of course we needed to bring a little Kung Fu to the situation. 

This easy recipe can be served in a variety of ways, either hot or chilled. Spread it on veggies, crackers or bread. If you want to get fancy, use it to fill puff pastries. This recipe is an ingredient in many of my family’s favorite holiday hors d’oeuvres.

Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Spread

16 oz cream cheese (softened)

6 oz smoked salmon

1/3 c diced sweet onion

2-3 jalapeño (to taste, deseeded and diced)

juice from 1 lime

Combine and mix all ingredients thoroughly. Refrigerate overnight. This allows the ingredients to really infuse their flavors into the cream cheese.
