Tillamook Drift Boat Days

Fall Chinook Salmon caught from a drift boat in Tillamook

One of the great features of Tillamook is the variety of water we get to fish. From the salt water of the ocean and bays to the freshwater of the river systems, there’s something for everyone. Late fall and winter are the season of Tillamook drift boat trips. A lot of fall salmon have already shot up the river, but we’ll catch chrome bright Chinook for the next couple weeks and even start to see some steelhead in the catch.

Drift boat trips allow anglers to enjoy the outdoors unplugged…no motor, just a guide and a pair of oars. These trips are hands-on, with lots of casting or back bouncing involved. We use a variety of baits and lures depending on conditions and what the fish are biting. Don’t worry if you’re a rookie…we’ll teach you the ropes as you learn to work a run, mending your line to offer your bait to the chrome steelhead below the surface.

Let us know if you’d like to get a drift boat trip on the calendar. If you would prefer a sled (jetboat), we’ve got a sled on the lower Wilson.

Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have or if you’re ready to book your trip. We’re always happy to help in any way we can.
