Many of my customers don’t just fish with me, but also do a bunch of fishing on their own. The Buoy 10 fishery in Astoria on the Lower Columbia River is one of those fisheries that at times looks really easy, but as many of you may know there’s more to it than just showing up.
In my latest article over at FISHWIRE.net, I get into the art of staying on fish and moving with the tides. Many try just fishing a location and invariable struggle through out the day. Any of you that have fished on one of my guide/charter trips knows there’s not a whole lot of sit and wait going on. But what’s the rhyme and reason to the moves that I do make? Well this article will take you through a scenario that has you fishing for the full 12 hour tide cycle.
Check out Buoy 10 Salmon Fishing- Make your move for more on the topic. If nothing else check out some of the pics that were used in the article. These are all photos from last years fishery. It kind of got my blood moving as I’m ready to go fishing!
