Not exactly a banner year for Willamette River Springers, but the perfect antidote for bad fishing is often supplied by mother nature.
The cool temperatures that we’ve experienced in the PNW for the last couple weeks have cooled water tempertures to the point where the fishery is back and could I say- better than ever? I’m not sure how long it will last, but with rains and cooler weather expected in the forecast for the coming week, we could end up with another couple weeks of fishing out of the deal.
Here’s a lengthy report I did on the day’s most recent Willamette River Spring Chinook fishing over at FISHWIRE.net.
